As part of the year-long anniversary celebration, the company holds a series of contests in the US and Canada as a gesture of thanks to the dedicated customers who have been, and continue to be, key to AMD’s critical presence in the processor industry.

WiMAX Forum certifies CARC's 500 Series family of Indoor CPE reference designs.

Saturday, May 02, 2009: C-DOT Alcatel-Lucent Research Centre (CARC), a WiMAX network solutions provider for high growth markets, has received the WiMAX Forum Certified seal of approval for the 2.5GHz band version of its 500 Series family of Indoor customer premises equipment (CPE) reference designs. 

CARC's Mobile WiMAX certification will bring ironclad assurances on inter-operability with infrastructure for this category of low-cost CPE, thus speeding uptake of wireless broadband services, especially in high-growth economies, said the company.

Samsung LEDSamsung has launched a series of energy-efficient LED High Definition televisions in the Indian market, priced between Rs 1.25 lakh and Rs 3.5 lakh. It is reportedly the first organisation to introduce the LED TVs in India. Samsung India has launched three LED HD TV Series -- Series 6 (40-inch), Series 7 (46-inch) and Series 8 (55-inch). Presently, Series 6 and 7 are available in market, but the Series 8 would be available by May.

SAMSUNG INDIA, one of the renowned electronics giants, launched the new and upgraded LED High Definition televisions in the Indian market.

The company has bagged three TIPA Awards this year.

Thursday, April 30, 2009:  Digital imaging company Epson has been presented with three of Europe's photo and imaging accolades at the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) Awards 2009. The Epson Stylus Photo PX800FW has been named 'Best Multifunction Photo Printer in 2009', the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 has won 'Best Large Format Printer in 2009' and the Epson EH-TW5000 was named 'Best Expert Photo Projector in 2009'.

Wednesday, April 29, 2009: Fifteen years ago, two computer scientists sat at their desks in a research lab in what is today Telenor, Norway’s telecommunications incumbent, itching to begin a new project. They were going to build their own Web browser. Those first keystrokes would become Opera, the browser that has set the standard for browser innovation.
