Monday, June 15, 2009: Greenvision Technologies has launched the new brand of its UPS battery called Relicell in India. Relicell is claimed to be completely maintenance free. The Relicell SMF VRLA batteries are also said to have a long floating and cyclic life span, high specific energy and low self discharge rate. 

"Completely leak proof, it has excellent anti-corrosion properties and performs flawlessly in varying temperature conditions as well," according to the company.

Relicell is manufactured at a VRLA battery manufacturing plant in a joint venture with Shandong Power Sources, a VRLA manufacturer in China.

Samsung has introduced its first solar-powered mobile phone, the Samsung Solar Guru (Guru E1107), in India. However, the solar power charging is only an option and not the main mode of charging. To charge the battery fully via the solar panel, the phone needs to be kept in the Sun for 40 hours. 

The Samsung Solar Guru has the capacity to provide around five-10 minutes of talk time with one hour of solar charging. (Measured when the phone is turned-off under the sun light of 80,000 Lux. Adobe Flash Player will be accelerated across the range of NVIDIA processors.

Tuesday, June 02, 2009: At Computex, NVIDIA and Adobe Systems have been collaborating as part of the Open Screen Project to optimise and enable Adobe Flash Player, a key component of the Adobe Flash Platform, to leverage GPU video and graphics acceleration on a wide range of mobile Internet devices, including netbooks, tablets, mobile phones and other on-the-go media devices. 

Adobe Flash Player will be accelerated across the range of NVIDIA processors, including NVIDIA Tegra, enabling users to enjoy uncompromised Web browsing, full H.264 video playback, and Flash technology based content any time, any place, and on any platform, according to the company.

Saturday, May 16, 2009:  Bharti Airtel has crossed the 100 million customers mark, making the company the third largest single country mobile services operator and sixth largest in-country integrated telecom operator in the world.

The company had crossed the 75 million customer mark in August 2008 and 50 million mark in October 2007. The first 25 million was achieved in July 2006.

Saturday, May 16, 2009:  AMD has announced a new operating model that centres the organisation on four equally critical functions -- products, technology, marketing and customers. The new structure, according to the company, is designed to better optimise AMD’s operations to drive performance graphics and microprocessors and further integrate the company’s x86 processor and graphics technologies. The restructuring marks the company's latest move to claw back market share lost to arch-rival Intel Corp.
