Wipro Technologies has acquired the Mobile
Broadcast Solutions division of Nokia for an undisclosed sum. The
40-employee enterprise mobile TV unit develops software and hardware
that enables mobile TV technology on the phone to find and access the
broadcasting network. It is understood that Nokia has decided to sell
the unit as the company is planning to focus on the consumer side of
the mobile TV business, reports Business Standard.
India’s third-largest IT services firm, Wipro Ltd, has acquired the
enterprise mobile TV unit owned by Finland-based leading mobile phone
manufacturer Nokia for an undisclosed sum. A Wipro spokesperson
declined comment as the company was in its “silent period” before the
announcement of its annual results on Wednesday.
The MailScan 6.1 precedes its earlier versions with a collection of new and advanced features.

2009: Lenco Mobile Inc., owns and operates businesses focused on the
mobile marketing and Internet sectors, has launched a new mobile phone
statement application, which has a zero carbon footprint impact. The
application was developed by Multimedia Solutions, a wholly owned
subsidiary of Lenco Mobile.
